A Penn Hills man found dead in his house Thursday died of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Corey Lutz, 26, was found unresponsive at about 2 p.m. at his home in the 3000 block of Universal Road.

The medical examiner's office said he was using a gas-powered generator to produce electricity in his garage, which is attached to the house.

The garage door was closed when police arrived to investigate.
