6 people hospitalized for carbon monoxide poisoning
whec.com - January 13, 2008
Dangerous levels of carbon monoxide sent six people to the hospital. Emergency crews were called to 471 North Goodman St. late Saturday afternoon.
Readings in an upstairs apartment had levels of 260 parts per million. Zero is a normal level. Fire officials said an area of the building was being renovated and a generator was being used in that area.
Six people were taken to the hospital and one of them was then transported to Buffalo because of the seriousness of the carbon monoxide poisoning. All of them had flu like symptoms.
