Five people in a home on Blackburn Manor in Millstadt were sent to a hospital around 8:15 a.m. Sunday and treated for carbon monoxide poisoning.

None of the victims, all of whom are related, was seriously injured. Four adults were admitted to the hospital for overnight observation, according to police. The fifth victim, a 9-year-old, was treated and released. All are expected to make a full recovery.

Fire Department personnel tested for carbon monoxide and found the colorless, odorless gas present in the home. The gas is believed to have come from a furnace in the home.
